Letter From The President

"I thank God for leaders who see beyond the present. Building a dining hall at Timber Ridge is a wonderful idea. Let's go for it!"

Friends of Trout,

The sign in the courtyard is a gentle reminder of what Trout Lake is: "A meeting place with God." As if we could forget.

For over 60 years Trout Lake Camps has provided a unique place for men and women, boys and girls to leave behind the normal pace of life. It's a chance to be challenged, stretched, encouraged and blessed as they experience God at work in this place and in their lives. You know as well as I do that Trout is a special place.

Trout Lake's Timber Ridge Camp is a new facility that has greatly expanded our capacity and reach. We owe a debt to many who have donated time, money and sweat to Timber Ridge. While it is a great facility, it lacks a proper dining hall.

We need your help to raise $2.4 million to build this dining hall and ensure scholarships for generations to come. This effort will enable the ministries of Trout Lake Camps to grow and expand well into the future. The last dining hall was built in 1946 and continues to serve campers today at The Point.

Please join with us in this effort to feed the next generation, both with the daily need for physical food, but also with the bread of life.

Dan Carlson - District Executive Minister
